About the Item

Unusal large pair of hand wrought Iron and steel Arts & Crafts andirons in good original condition. Dating to the late 19th Century they are very much in the manner of Aesthetic Movement or Arts & Crafts architects such as Norman Shaw or W E Nesfield who designed houses in the "Old English" style. They would have originally been in a large inglenook fireplace.
