About the Item

More information coming soon… Depicting the royal coat of arms of France, this small cast iron fireback would make a wonderful addition to a mantel of proportionate size. The fireback has a blackened finish, which has been accentuated by a coat of wax, which allows the motifs to be visibly seen. The heraldic shield with three fleur de lys is topped by a large closed crown. The coat of arms sits atop a foliate console with a croix pattée. The fireback would also make an intriguing backsplash in a kitchen.
