About the Item

An elegant 19th Century tiered Cast Iron Fountain in a fine weathered Green paint. The finely proportioned central support with fluted column base supports two elegant scalloped tiers. The working condition is unknown and the fountain is considered as a Garden ornament. Dimensions: 23.75” diameter by 57.25” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various signs of age including rust, corrosion and metal and paint wear. The original three bolts or screws which held the two elements are corroded and do not function and there is heavy interior rusting for the central tube. Despite the aging and wear the Fountain maintains an extraordinary Antique Garden presentation. and wear including some rust, lichen formation, metal and paint loss which do not affect the particularly fine Garden presentation.
