About the Item

Measures : 27x27cm H:92cm Origin : Italian Age : 1970s Material : Pencil reed - (fine rattan and reed rods assembled in parallel lines), a basketry and exotic cabinetmaking technique highly prized in high-end design during the 1970s. The marquetry base attributed to Vivai del Sud (though unmarkedand) and the symmetrical design make this a magnificent decorative piece. Whether used as a plant stand or a sculptural object, the honey-colored bamboo offers an elegant, soft texture and a patina characteristic of the Mid-Century style. A second column (different size/color) is visible in photo #2. Sold separately.
