About the Item

A stunning aluminum sculpture stamped "SZENDY", a creation by French artist Arisztid Szendy (1936-2013). This early work from the 1970s was crafted using repurposed mechanical parts, showcasing Szendy’s sculptural approach blending industrial forms with organic influences. The piece features a remarkable patina, developed over time as it was originally installed outdoors in a wooded park. Its raw and futuristic aesthetic makes it a one-of-a-kind artwork, perfect for collectors of contemporary art and lovers of industrial design. A rare opportunity to acquire a sculpture by a recognized artist. Arisztid Szendy, born on May 16, 1936, in Hungary, came from an artistic family, with uncles who were painters and musicians. He arrived in France in 1956, following the Hungarian Revolution. He began his studies in France at the Beaux-Arts in Paris under the guidance of Giacometti, Zadkine, and Adam. He learned the art of drawing, modeling, and sculpture using various materials but was particularly drawn to alloys such as brass and bronze.
