Art Deco Goldscheider statue of an African warrior. This statue inspired the artist (painter) Luc Tuymans to create his famous work (painting) ; Sculpture in 2000. Sold in 2005 by Christie's for 1,472,000 USD. One of the many record-breaking properties was Luc Tuymans' 2000 painting of a sculpture of an African warrior, which sold in spirited bidding for $1,472,000, more than double its $700,000 presale high estimate.
