About the Item

This large antique "Tian" (Provencal term for serving bowl), was crafted in Provence, southern France circa 1780. Round in shape, the handmade terracotta bowl has a subtle yellow glaze on the inside with natural earthenware finish on the outside. The tall decorative vessel is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated glazed yellow finish. Use this large dish as a centerpiece on a dining table filled with fruit, vegetable, or dressed with a flower arrangement. Measures: 23.5" diameter 10.25" height.
