About the Item

Magnificent 1950s Archimede Seguso Murano hand blown glass bowl was made in a stunning combination of deep red glass with gold leaf inclusions encased in clear glass overlay, using polveri and sommerso techniques. The bowl is unmarked, but the range is well known and labelled examples can be found online and in exhibition catalogues or publications (such as Italian Glass Murano Milan 1930-1970, p.50). It is in good vintage condition with slight signs of use consistent with age.
