Decorative Murano Bowl - Vintage Glass Ashtray - Iridescent Glass Vintage 1950s Murano glass ashtray/bowl . This peculiar style was not meant as an actual mortar, but rather as an ashtray: the pestle was used to crush cigarettes. Luckily, though, the bowl has never been used as an actual ashtray - and has therefore survived in perfect conditions up to these days.
