About the Item

Sculptural pair of Modernist hammered metal pedestal bowls, each featuring a rounded vessel raised on a stepped foot and framed by distinctive looping handles. The bowls are worked throughout with a richly hammered surface, creating subtle variations in texture and reflection. Slender handles sweep upward from either side before terminating in open loops, giving the pair an expressive, graphic quality that contrasts beautifully with the rounded bodies and architectural pedestal bases. Their balanced proportions and unusual handle design allow the pieces to read as sculptural decorative objects while remaining functional as small vessels, cachepots, or tabletop accessories.
