This exceptional antique George V sterling silver dish has a plain oval boat shaped form. The body of this impressive English silver bread dish is embellished with bands of fine and impressive pierced vertical pale decoration, flanking oval floral medallions. The ornamentation to the body incorporates bright cut engraved floral and foliate festoons, suspended from the aforementioned medallion designs. The upper rim of the dish is encompassed with a paralleling applied thread decorated border. The well of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.
