About the Item

This stunning Lucite, chrome, and gilt metal ashtray, vide poche, or desk tidy has a design reminiscent of the renowned Italian designer Felice Antonio Botta's work. The piece was expertly crafted in Italy, circa 1970. The large catchall features an important Lucite square-shaped bowl with chromed metal cut corners decor. The desk tidy also features a gilt metal round insert. The design is beautiful, featuring a luminous faux-marble black-and-silver texture with off-white-butter contrast layers, chrome accents, and a floating, round, shiny metal cigar ashtray in the center. There is no visible designer's signature. Measurements: 5.94 in wide (15 cm) by 5.94 in deep (15 cm) by 2 in high (5 cm).
