About the Item

Antique French Baccarat crystal jewelry casket box featuring neoclassical cut crystal and heavy gilt ormolu mounts. This piece is also considered Art Deco inspired. The heavy faceted crystal block is ground and polished with clean architectural lines. The hinged rim is mounted with an engraved gilt metal band. It is adorned with a distinctive semicircular shield shaped escutcheon lock plate and the original key. A highly valued decorative statement piece.
