About the Item

Green and gilt lacquered box with decoupage turtle decoration, the interior lined with faux tortoise shell paper. This is a charming box, my new favorite item. The top, front, back and bottom all with decoupaged images of turtles, likely a snapping turtle. Each image is the actual depiction of that aspect of the turtle. My favorite is the bottom, which shows more detail, as it was more protected and handled less. The green lacquer is a lovely shade. Lined with a nice faux tortoise shell paper. Signed Theodora NYC, I have not been able to find any information on the maker. 6 inches wide 4.75 deep 3.5 high
