About the Item

From Lalique Crystal, a square shaped covered box in the ‘Duncan’ pattern, France, circa 1980s. The Duncan Line by René Lalique was designed in 1931. The pattern was inspired by the American dancer Isadora Duncan and her portrayal of ancient Greek figures. In the Art Nouveau style, the clear crystal lid shows the image of a nude Isadora sitting in a field of flowers, finished in frosted crystal. The lid sits on a clear crystal base. This piece has been discontinued. 3.5 inches square x 2.5 in. H Marked: Etched ‘Lalique ® France’ on the bottom of the base. In very good vintage condition, some light scratching to the bottom of the base.
