Late 19th century large pigskin storage box, Chinese. Late Qing dynasty. Burnt red color & silvered brass or paktong fittings; the handles & their back plates of good quality. Label indicates hand made articles of all box types. Attractively stitched. Roughness underneath stitching commensurate with age & use. Interior strap broken. 16" x 9.5" x 8.25" h.
