About the Item

This is a very stylish tessellated pen shell, bone and wood box most likely by Maitland Smith and made in the Philippines. This long, slender beauty measures 15 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 2.75" and has a wonderfully designed concave lid that tapers toward the middle--very sleek. The box is trimmed with bone tiles and the cylindrical pull also appears to be bone or simulated bone.. The interior of the box is beautifully crafted with a wood lining and the bottom of the box is covered in brown felt. In very good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or missing tiles--this piece is functional and beautiful and could be used for a variety of applications and in any room of the home.
