About the Item

Offered is an elegant rectangular Victorian-era forged sterling silver box that has a carved wood compartment in the interior. It can be used as a humidor for cigars, or for jewelry or keepsakes, playing cards or game pieces. The box has a push-button latch mechanism in working condition and measures 9.875" W x 5.875" D x 3" H.

Condition:
Wear consistent with age and use. The box is intact and the push-button works as intended, and with ease, however, there is a visible dent on the center of the rim (see photos). It has been gently cleaned to remove tarnish. Any wear is commensurate with its age and past handling.
