About the Item

French porcelain and gilt bronze box from the 19th century. This art object is made of Sèvres porcelain. The panels with a light blue background are embellished with central medallions with fine hand-painted multicolored floral decorations. The structure is an imposing frame made of gilded bronze (ormolu), with elaborate Rococo-style details including plant and floral motifs, scrolls, and curl feet. These chests were usually used as jewelry boxes or decorative caskets. Measurements: height 19 cm width 39 cm depth 21 cm
