About the Item

A fine vintage Russian silver & gold cigarette box. By Konstantin Skvortsov. In 84 zolotnik (.875 fineness) silver. The lid with an engraved depiction of two horse's heads and an applied gold monogram device. The interior is fully gilt. With a push button closure. Hallmarked to the interior. Simply a wonderful piece of Russian silver! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some small indentations to the bottom edge of the box. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Konstantin Skvortsov Marks: Marked to the interior with a KC (KS) for Konstantin Skvortsov / 84 for 84 zolotnik. Fineness: Marked 84 zolotnik for .875 silver fineness.
