About the Item

A Very Fine Quality Single French Louis XV inspired Patinated and Gilt Bronze Figural Twin Branch Candelabra of good size proportions (see last image in-situ) depicting a central putto or cherub standing on a naturalistic surface on a Rococo style ornate base.  Made during the last half of the Nineteenth Century, after a model by Claude Michel Clodion French 1738-1814.  Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces with no restoration anywhere, professionally re-gold plated. Complete with its original firm fitting drip pans. The upper twin arm is removable so it can be used as a single candlestick. Height: (entire) 15.” (39.5cm). Width: (at arms widest) 9” (23cm).
