The early 20th century in Austria was a period of artistic innovation, with the influence of the Vienna Secession movement, which emphasized modernist design and craftsmanship. Jewish communities in Austria had a rich tradition of creating and using beautifully crafted ritual objects for religious observance. Candelabra is set on a shaped stepped dome, part-fluted with a cylindrical stem capped by a similar floral-shaped dome.
