About the Item

The Paris based label has distinguished themselves since their launch, with their iconic use of shagreen mixed with brass and other exotic materials. All furniture is handcrafted by skilled artisans, ultimately making each piece unique, designed in Paris and produced in the Philippines. The melting candle Base by Patrick Coard is a bold sculptural piece for any space. The intricate uneven surfaced bronze-patina brass structure creates the melting effect, mixed with a white hand-dyed parchment inlay. A smaller version in smokey-grey parchment is also available. Candle not included. The dimensions of this piece are 22 x 13 x 71 cm / 8.75 x 5 x 28" All Patrick Coard Paris pieces are handmade by artisans, ultimately making each piece unique. Wipe clean with soft dry cloth Patrick Coard Paris- an Irish/Scandinavian designer, threw the gauntlet down with an awe inspiring collection of candles never seen before. Whilst the market has been saturated with scented candles he went back to basics of non-scented candles. He used his love of this aesthetic to be the first to bring out a collection of candles in shagreen and exotic skin textures, in beautifully hand carved patterns and sculptural shapes with metal inserts. His inspirations from sculptors from the 1930s and 1940s has created a modern collection in which one can utterly relax. Color variants may occur, but this showcases the Parisian label's commitment to creating authentic luxurious products using natural components.
