About the Item

A spectacular single vintage bronze cobra snake wall scone / candlestick. Its sinuous, serpentine body curves in an S "wavy" pattern evoking a slithering cobra snake. The tail tapers at the bottom while the upper section transitions into a candle holder - a classic bobeche. Made of brass with gold-bronze with visible surface detailing of etched floral patterns. The scone has two mounting points at the back that hold it on the wall securely. These Anglo-Indian scones are popular in antique and eclectic decor - usually sold as pairs - add a mystical and dramatic touch to interiors and pair well with abstract art for a more contemporary result.
