A pair of French tole and iron sconce, decorated with a French flag, ribbon, drum, and bugle. A whimsical and high-quality piece dating to the 1940s, designed with candleholders and crafted with charming detail. Although made in the French style, the sconces were likely produced in Italy and could also be American. Very good condition for their age, with rich character and an appealing mix of sculptural form and playful patriotic motifs. A distinctive accent for a hallway, study, or eclectic wall display.
