Hallmarked in London in 1811 by William Fountain this dramatic George III antique sterling silver pair of candlesticks is executed in the Rococo Revival style, featuring highly detailed cast decoration of shells and rocaille work throughout the shaped foot and stem. The detachable nozzle is decorated with shells and foliage. Each candlestick measures 10.25"(26cm) tall by 5.5"(14cm) in diameter, and the pair together weigh an impressive 67.3 troy ounces.
