About the Item

Inspired by the iconic Torres de Satélite—Mathias Goeritz and Luis Barragán’s monumental modernist sculptures of 1950s Mexico City—this handcrafted candleholder translates architectural memory into domestic ritual. Hammered copper with a rustic, timeworn finish is forged in Michoacán into a linear, tower-like composition that holds five wax candles; the set includes three complete groups of five. The tactile patina and vertical geometry recall the towers’ play of mass, shadow and color while inviting intimate use. Produced as a limited edition, the piece can be customized with colored candles following the original project’s palette, and offered with alternative bases in polished copper or silvered patina. Each object balances industrial reference and artisanal technique, making it both a sculptural homage to midcentury Mexican modernism and a refined functional accent for contemporary interiors.
