About the Item

A delicate and unique French Art Deco-style candlestick composed of rock crystal and silvered bronze. The form is cylindrical, constructed from two distinct sections of rock crystal that stack together. The upper section is slightly shorter, fitted with a circular opening designed to hold a candle, while the lower portion forms the main body of the candlestick. Both sections are encased with silvered bronze rims at the top, base, and junction, lending stability and a defined structural outline. The rock crystal body presents natural internal veining and inclusions, giving the candlestick a translucent quality with visible crystalline patterns throughout. The candlestick is mounted in silvered bronze fittings that reinforce the structure. These fittings appear at the top rim, the separating band between the two crystal sections, and the circular base.
