About the Item

Miniature pewter and brass boulle longcase clock with jeweled bezel and silvered dial. Beautifully made in the finest detail. The boulle work of outstanding quality. Boulle is a difficult and painstaking craft when working in two mediums (usually tortoiseshell and brass) on the normal scale. This has been cut on the miniature scale in three mediums (tortoiseshell, brass and pewter). To the front of the case can be seen the popular boulle motif of a merman blowing on a shell trumpet.
