The architectural composition with classical columns reflects the neoclassical taste characteristic of French decorative arts of the period. The clock features an enamel dial with black numerals and finely shaped hands, housed within a cylindrical case suspended between two columns. The case is adorned with cast gilt bronze mounts incorporating floral and classical decorative motifs, while the pendulum is decorated with a sun mask motif.
