About the Item

Art Deco Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock by Perivale Art Deco mantel clock housed in an unusual two colour oak stepped case with round top, resting on Art Deco pyramid style chrome, black and cream feet with shaped chrome decoration to the side of the dial featuring a chrome ball. Chrome numerals and original chrome Art Deco style hands. The hinged back door still retains the original guarantee label from the Perivale Clock Company. Eight day quarter Westminster chiming movement, striking and chiming on 5 gong rods by Perivale. C.1925 The Perivale Clock Manufacturing Company. were based at 2, Wadsworth Road, Perivale, Middlesex. They manufactured good quality spring driven movements specialising in quarter chiming movements. Perivale also used the ‘Britania’and ‘Anvil’ trademark.
