About the Item

A desk clock designed by Jaz Paris. A beautiful and very handsome desk clock, created in Paris France by the the clock company of Jaz during the art deco period, back in the early 1930. This very decorative piece is very hard to find has been designed with geometric art deco patterns and assembled from an octagonal beveled cranberry glass and stainless steel steeped mountings. Deceptively weighty time piece showing the quality that one expects from this maker. Movement: French mechanical wingding Jaz movement, Eleven Jewels, 8 days. The dial is round with metallic cranberry color, Arabic silver numbers, silver hands and inscribed, JAZ. Weight: 3.54 Pounds, (1,588.5 Grams), (1,018.26 Dwt). Measurements: 249 mm by 184 mm by 54.5 mm (9.82 x 7.26 x 2.15 Inches). Dial mark: Stamped with the maker's mark and signed, "JAZ". Case movement marks: Stamped with the maker's mark and signed, "JAZ ECHAMPPEMENT A ANCRE 11 PIERRES BREVETE S.G.D.G. MODELE DEPOSE MADE IN FRANCE". Jaz Clock Co., was founded in Paris France in 1919 by a group of industrial engineerings. The first model that was a produced was le Classic in 1921. From the beginning, all Jaz clocks had both a model number and a model name and all model names finish in "ic". Service: The movement was serviced and cleaned. Condition: The overall condition of this desk clock is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the movement, the glass or any parts. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
