About the Item

Wonderful and rare Mid-Century decorative pen or brush holder entirely made of thick curved full-grain Italian leather. This charming piece was handcrafted by Nova Tecno and produced in Italy during the 1950s. In amazing condition, this sculptural piece features a cylindrical body in richly patinated brown leather with a sinuous organic rim, softly folded and shaped by hand. The warm cognac-brown leather has developed a wonderful natural patina over the decades, enhancing the character and authenticity of the piece. The underside bears the manufacturer's mark. Originally conceived as a desk accessory, this versatile object can be used as a pen holder, desk organizer, brush holder, or decorative container. Its sculptural form also allows it to function as a standalone decorative object. A unique and highly decorative piece, ideal for a Mid-Century or Organic Modern project, or to elevate a contemporary interior with a touch of timeless Italian design elegance.
