Talisman Sculpture #3 in Sandy Stoneware with Bronze Inlays by Margaux Leycuras. One of a Kind, Signed and numbered. Dimensions: D 10 x W 15 x H 37 cm. Material: Sandy stoneware with a white porcelain slip finish and bronze inlays. The piece is signed, numbered, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity. Talisman are shaped by the powerful dialogue between ocean and earth, a tribute to landscapes carved by tides and time and treasures revealed on the shore after a storm. This totemic sculpture acts as a sacred object. This is a unique, handmade piece. --Margaux Leycuras-- "My ceramic workshop is located in Bordeaux, France. It is dedicated to my ceramic practice. To make my line of dinnerware and sculptures, I use various traditional building techniques, such as the potter's wheel, slab, and coil building. I only use high-temperature clays such as stoneware and porcelain. These clays are fired between 1230°c and 1300°c to reach their maturity and vitrify. The practice of ceramics requires patience: you have to learn to respect the material and the different stages of the making process.".
