About the Item

Mid-Century Modern brutalist metal tabletop or floor sculpture depicting a cluster of cattails, heavily channeling the torch-cut aesthetic of the 1960s. The piece features six slender iron rods anchored to a substantial, textured brutalist base. Each stalk is topped with an abstract, open-work cylindrical pod featuring organic, heavily stylized cutouts that beautifully catch and play with the light. Unsigned, circa 1960s.
