TOWERX12 Architectural Iron Sculpture in Matte Black by Towerland. Dimensions: W 24 x D 24 x H 37.3 cm Materials: Iron plate with Matte black brocade finish. The TOWERX1 series comprises a group of metal sculptures in which six pieces are composed of plain iron sheets, only 4mm thick, intercrossed horizontally and vertically. Evoking architectural miniatures, these installations of thin iron sheets convey a sense of downward heaviness and gravity. A sense of ritual is brought forth through repeated symmetry and mirror effects; in the darkness of a mysterious ancient monument, like a tower, an upward belief can be felt. TOWERLAND is an independent art and design brand founded by Chinese architect WuZhenyan. With timelessness and power as the creative will shaping spiritual drawings and sculptures, TOWERLAND seeks to convey an image of solidity and uniqueness. Taking inspiration from nature, architecture, time, and space, the brand favors diversity in its philosophy, choosing materials and techniques that suit each unique form. Its aim is to create a distinctive experience of the home—not only through furniture but as an expression of a way of life, participating in spatial relationships through minimal architectural forms.
