Whimsical grouping of a mother duck and a duckling in a mellow brown patina and a marble plinth. Signed Ludwig Vordermeyer. In 1888-1890, Vordermayer attended the educational institute of the Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin. 1890-1891 he was a pupil with Peter Breuer , then until 1894 with Karl Begas . From 1893 Vordermayer was represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition .
