A very fine early 20th Century patinated bronze study of a seated Bulldog wearing a collar with excellent rich brown patina and excellent detail, signed & dated ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Height: 9.5 cm Width: 7.5 cm Depth: 7.5 cm Condition: Excellent Original Condition Dated: 1912 Materials: Patinated Bronze SKU: 9565 ABOUT Dora Heber Dora Heber was a German sculptor active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, recognised for her refined bronze animal figures. Working within the strong German animalier tradition, she specialised particularly in studies of dogs, which were modelled with notable anatomical accuracy and sympathetic characterisation. Her works were typically cast in bronze and finished with rich brown patination, often depicting breeds such as terriers and other domestic dogs in alert or naturalistic stances.
