"Falling man II" Unique Italian Modernist Art Glass Figure Formia Murano Hand-Blown Glass Sculpture – Rare Pink Human Figure on black Base. This exceptional sculpture is one of two unique and distinct pieces created using the same rare pink Murano glass and expressive "falling" pose. Both were handcrafted by Formia's master glassmakers using the hot-sculpting technique, and each figure reveals subtle variations that make them truly one of a kind. An exceptional work of contemporary Murano artistry, this hand-blown glass sculpture by Formia captures the expressive tension of the human form in a state of suspended movement. The figure, seemingly caught in a delicate fall, is gracefully perched atop a solid round base in polished black glass — adding depth, contrast, and sculptural presence. The craftsmanship is remarkable, revealing the signature fluidity and technical mastery of Murano’s most accomplished glassmakers. What makes this piece especially collectible is the use of pink glass—an exceptionally rare and difficult color to produce in Murano tradition. Every piece is genuine vintage, some still bearing their original price tags in old Italian lire. The glass is beautiful and in excellent condition, as it was carefully packed away for decades.
