This elegant French Art Deco sculpture depicts a pair of seagulls in flight and was created in France during the 1930s. With its graceful composition, streamlined forms, and contrasting materials, the piece is a refined example of French decorative sculpture from the interwar period. The two birds are modeled in spelter and appear to glide above stylized waves, their wings extended in a dynamic yet perfectly balanced arrangement.
