Mogens Bøggild, 1901-1987 Mogens Bøggild was a Danish sculptor renowned for his lifelike and detailed sculptures. This plaster study for the Bear Fountain (Bjørnebrønden) was created in 1939 and is numbered as casting no. 1. Dimensions: H: 48 cm, W: 67 cm, D: 10 cm. The Bear Fountain, located in Nykøbing Falster, is one of Bøggild's major works and has become an iconic landmark of the city.
