A Patinated Bronze Bust Of Marie Adélaïde, Princess of France Marie Adélaïde of France (1732-1800) was a prominent figure during the reign of her nephew, Louis XVI. As a French princess and the fourth daughter of King Louis XV, she led her own influential faction at court advocating for stronger ties within the House of Bourbon and opposing the alliance with the Habsburgs.
