About the Item

Cio Zanetta. A figurative sculpture of a fragmented male torso made of ceramic/terracotta, with obvious simulated fractures on the arms and legs. Designed in a style that combines a love of classical archaeology with a contemporary sensibility. The work is characterized by large openings that reveal the empty interior of the structure. It evokes the tradition of ancient fragments and mutilated Greco-Roman artifacts, a formal approach reminiscent of the famous works of 20th-century artists. The surface has a textured, rough finish with polychromatic hues in shades of brown and ochre, and hints of blue and green, typical of aged patina.
