An elegant and high quality Belgian mid 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Sarrancolin marble statue signed Charles Samuel 1894 and Petermann Fondeur Bruxelles. The statue is raised by a beautiful stepped mottled Sarrancolin marble base with finely sculpted block feet. The striking ormolu statue above depicts a beautiful maiden draped in a wonderfully executed flowing garment with her hair tied in an updo while holding a cornucopia overflowing with coins in her arms symbolizing abundance and prosperity.
