A stunning and very high quality Italian 19th century white Carrara marble statue on its original Vert de Patricia marble pedestal signed Barbieri. The statue is raised on its original most elegant Vert de Patricia marble pedestal column with a fine octagonal base, mottled socle shape support below the beautiful baluster shaped fluted central support, and circular top with a lovely reeded border. The charming wonderfully executed white Carrara marble statue above is raised on a circular mottled base with a finely detailed ground like design. Above is a young boy draped in a richly sculpted flowing garment with a satchel over his shoulder. The young boy is riding a finely detailed goose with wonderful attention to detail throughout. Statue dimensions: H: 28.5" L: 17.5" D: 13" Pedestal dimensions: H: 41.75" L: 17.75" D: 17.75" Pedestal top diameter: 15" Giacomo de Barbieri was a very accomplished Italian sculptor born in Genoa in 1844. A student of P. Varin, Barbieri worked in Genoa, Naples and Rome where he is best known for his high-quality and detailed busts, monuments and religious reliefs.

An exquisite and extremely high quality Italian 19th century white Carrara marble statue on its original Vert de Patricia marble pedestal signed Prof. R. Romanelli Firenze. The impressive pedestal displays a fine octagonal base below an elegant socle shaped support and tapered circular central column with fluted designs below the mottled circular top with lovely wrap around foliate designs. The white Carrara marble statue above displays a wonderfully executed ground designed base with charming branches and leaves where the beautiful nude young Aphrodite is kneeling. She has a finely detailed flowing fabric draped over her leg and is clutching a bird at her chest protecting it from the serpent at her feet. She wears a richly sculpted floral wreath in her hair and displays exceptional attention to detail throughout. Rossetti Roma 1878. The statue is raised on its original pedestal column with a square black Belgium marble base and mottled socle shaped support below the circular lightly tapered Rouge Griotte marble central support and circular mottled top. The stunning white Carrara marble statue above depicts a charming young winged cherub, likely Cupid, siting on a tree trunk while draped in a outstanding masterfully sculpted veil.
