About the Item

An exceptional and highly collectible Female Art Déco Bronze sculpture Created between 1925 and 1930. This piece is a quintessential representation of the modernist "Streamline" aesthetic that defined the peak of the French Art Déco movement. The sculpture is prominently signed "Janlé" on the bronze plinth near the figure´s foot. "Janlé" is the well-documented pseudonym utilized by the renowned French sculptor JEAN LEMOINE. His works from this era were cast by the most prestgious Parisian foundries, most notably the legendary MAX LE VERRIER FOUNDRY. This piece represents an ultra-rare high-end luxury commission. The figure: Cast in solid Bronze and finished with a striking, mirror-polished chrome plating. The crisp, razor-shard casting perfectly preserves the Iconic Bob haircut and geometric drapery of the scarf without any significant oxidation or wear to the base metal. The figure is 33 cm tall. Including the base , the total height is 53 cm The base: The chrome plated bronze was subsequently mounted on a high quality granite base with an addiotional chrome cover. The granite / "labradorite" base exhibits one minor, shallow flea-bite chip at the bottom right corner which does not affect the structural integrity or overall display of this object.
