About the Item

A striking early 20th-century Italian terracotta wall fountain featuring Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and revelry. This two-piece set includes a sculptural relief of a cherubic Bacchus draped in flowing fabric, adorned with a garland of grapes and fruit, pouring water from an amphora. The water flows into a scalloped shell basin, which rests on an ornately carved pedestal decorated with acanthus leaves and botanical motifs.
