Sergio Bustamonte Hanging Bronze Parrot Sculpture

About the Item
Sergio Bustamonte studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara and sold his artwork while in school, beginning in 1960. After graduating, he worked with local ceramicists, eventually opened his own studio and sold work to Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Harrods department stores.
In 1972 he moved to Amsterdam where he "learned more about painting and design."
In 1975, he established his Family Workshop Studio in Tiaquepaque, Mexico. His monumental sculpture is in a number of cities, notably his "In Search of Reason" in Puerto Vallarta, sculpture in the Guadalajara Zoo, Puetro Vallarta, and Tiaquepaque.
