Edwardian Silver and Guilloché Enamel Four-Bottle Scent Set, London 1913 A particularly elegant and unusual Edwardian silver-mounted four-bottle scent set, hallmarked for London, 1913, and distinguished by its striking translucent royal blue guilloché enamel decoration. The set comprises four matching faceted crystal scent bottles, each retaining its original glass stopper and housed within an exquisitely crafted silver frame of quatrefoil form. The silver mount is richly decorated throughout with panels of vivid engine-turned guilloché enamel, the deep cobalt blue colouring creating a beautiful contrast against the polished silver and crystal. A finely made swing handle allows the set to be carried as intended, while the harmonious arrangement of the four bottles reflects the refined taste and luxury associated with the finest Edwardian dressing table accessories. The faceted crystal bodies catch and refract the light beautifully, further enhancing the visual appeal of the piece. Bearing clear silver hallmarks for London, 1913, the set was imported and retailed by Cohen & Charles, one of the leading London firms specialising in luxury silver and decorative objects during the early twentieth century. Unlike many surviving examples, the bottles appear to be a fully matched set and sit perfectly within their original frame. Objects of this quality were intended for the dressing table or travelling vanity and epitomise the elegance of the Edwardian era, combining fine silverwork, vibrant enamel decoration and practical function in a single luxurious object.
