Gertrud and Otto Natzler Rare Mariposa Glaze Vase Form, 1963 Earthenware with green and blue Mariposa reduction-fired glaze with melt fissures Dimensions: 12¾ h × 6½ dia in (32 × 17 cm) Signed to underside ‘Natzler’ with archive number ‘M638’. Cataloged by Gail Natzler. Exhibited: The Ceramic Work of Gertrud and Otto Natzler, January 9 – February 11, 1968, Palm Springs Desert Museum, Palm Springs; traveled to Pacific Lutheran University Gallery, Tacoma, Washington, 1968. Condition: Very good condition. Surface displays characteristic glaze variation including ash deposits, fire marks, and melt fissures inherent to the reduction firing process and original to the making. No structural issues; presents well.
